Mindfulness in Everyday Life

The Mindfulness in Everyday Life online 8-session group course offers mindfulness practices and exercises (based on cognitive-behavioural techniques) in ways that are intended to be accessible to all. It guides participants in how to apply this learning in everyday life both to manage what is painful and difficult but also to cultivate qualities such as compassion and steadiness. It offers a different approach to living that supports people to work with challenges, including recurring patterns of thought and behaviour that create suffering, but also to savour life and to move towards flourishing. Mindfulness in Everyday Life is an in-depth course, offered via Zoom (in person coming soon), intended to cultivate lasting and sustainable change. This course is has been developed based on training from the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation at the University of Oxford.

“The Mindfulness in Everyday Life sessions have been extremely valuable for me, I have continued to use many of the techniques I learned on the course regularly in my life, which has without doubt enabled me to approach incoming challenges with a calmer and more balanced mindset. The format of the course was extremely friendly and approachable, without pressure which created a fantastically open atmosphere amongst the participants. The eight weeks had a profoundly positive effect on me, both mind and body and I feel very grateful to James for sharing his incredible knowledge with us in a way that felt both natural and relevant to all of our busy and scattered lives.”
